Anyone have a good experience with Leopard networking?

Mine has been horrible. It will not recognize an AirDisk after waking from sleep (a reboot of the AEBS is required) and it is a real pain to get it to recognize a Windows PC. I was able to get it working once, but after waking from sleep can't get it back. Why mess with the networking? It was great in Tiger! No it is beyond terrible!

I know this doesn't help at all, but I've haven't had any issues. Sees network and PCs just fine. I didn't do anything when I installed Leopard.

I'm having a real hard time getting my MB to see any PCs with Leopard... I don't know what's up.

I had no idea you had a Mac! Ya I have given up on it for now. With Tiger, it was like you said, nothing to do. Leopard though just doesn't seem to want to cooperate.

Aurora, make sure you have the right work group. Use one of the default MS workgroups. That is how I got it to work the one time. Of course, it hasn't worked since.

Yeah, I got one of the cheap refurbed Minis from Apple. I used it to replace the dock I had for my ThinkPad. I had some extra memory and a 7200RPM hard drive laying around just begging to be used so I did it for shoots and giggles. The case was a (expletive here) to get open, but it seems to be running fine. It's been a while since I used a Mac with any regularity. You can never learn enough. I got the Apple keyboard which I have to say is less than stellar. They had me cornered at the Apple store. I needed my Mac to crack my iPhone and didn't want to wait for one to come in the mail.

I'll go back to the old networking stalwarts, are you using the firewall? I personally am not, but I back up everything and don't keep much on the Mac.

no problems hear either, nothing at all to setup, I am using a Apple N Basestation, no problems with networking with wireless or wired connections, works very well.

it most likely has to do with the router you are using.

I too am using the AirPort Extreme Base Station (N). Last night and this morning it seems to be working. The AirDisk has not been plugged in so I have not tried that again. It seems to be an issue with the MBP coming out of sleep.

My macbook can have the problem as well coming out of sleep. I have toggle my airport on and off and it works again. The problem is that I have my "data" share on my XP server automount when I startup in my user settings. I t creates a icon on my desktop.

If I loose connection it goes away.
