I'm a recent converter and I'm not looking back! I bought my MBP back in Mid-Dec 2007 and it is awesome! It came with Leopard. I've installed 4 GB of ram into the MBP from day 1. Otherwise, the computer is stock (120GB HD 2.2 GHZ DuoCore).

I've noticed that there is some mouse lag. It seems like the MBP "freezes" for a few seconds (1-3 seconds) and then it releases the function of the mouse. I've noticed it more with Office 2004 using word, etc. I haven't noticed any CPU usage spikes, but this doesn't mean they do occur.

I've read some people have reinstalled Leopard with some success. I've kept the OS and other programs up to date with Software Updater.

Any suggestions or help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    GregC

I've noticed the same thing sometimes when I try to scroll. Does it affect your clicking also?

The mouse pointer basically disappears at times as well as the mouse pointer is stuck in one place on the screen. No matter how much movement on the track pad as well as clicking the button, it doesn't get the mouse to budge until whatever the computer has to finish doing it then "releases" the mouse pointer so it can move and function normally.

My wife's mb also has the same problem. Therefore I do not think it is limited to just MBP's.

    Thanks,

    GregC

I've never experienced that with the trackpad or USB mouse...

I experience the same thing when my wireless is connecting, but it lasts for 1sec and then goes away completely.. if you get it after you wake your comp from sleep, try removing iStat
