hi, i've just got leopard and i must say that it is rather rough around the edges, performance (GUI wise) suffer lag and such. but most scarily the disk utility seems to be unreliable. it is very slow when verifying/repairing disk permission. and it came up with all this ACL error(?)
when is it safe to run leopard in other words, when will you be recommending people to run leopard? 1 week, 2 weeks, a month, or more (after the october 26th launch)?
and does leopard support NTFS volume reliably?
oh, do techtool deluxe works/safe to use with leopard?

To me it sounds more like you could have a bad hard drive, disk utility runs perfectly on my mb.
yes leopard could do with some more polish, but 10.5.1 is reported to be only a few weeks away, so with any luck alot of these will be fixed by the end of the month.

Leopard on my Macbook doesn't suffer from any kind of lag. I recently used Disk Utility to create an image of my HD (rather different from verifying/repairing disk permission) and didn't have any issues. I'll try the verification stuff next time.
