Apparently Apple will be unveiling the next gen of OS X at the WWDC in August. More here.

Well, that's hardly news, that's been known for a long time. But it isn't going to be released then, it's still slated for a winter release somewhere as far as I know (around the same time Vista comes).

What IS interesting however is that we will get a preview of what will be in the system... that will be very interesting to see. Many rumours are floating around, from an integrated map system to integrated virtualization (a la Parallels). We will see in a month what is revealed, I'm sure they will still keep some features under wrap for further development and to have something to announce at the actual release :)

Sorry. Just saw the article on Slashdot, and thought I'd pass it on. I knew Leopard was coming out this year, but not that they were showcasing it at WWDC, which was pretty much the gist of why I posted it up.

I've actually heard some pretty bizzare stuff about Leopard; things like Leopard being able to run Windows apps. natively and such. I doubt Apple will be able to pull of such a coup, but I still can't wait for its release :)

I bet it won't happen, OS X running windows applications natively, sounds like it would bloat the living heck out of OS X if they added microsoft API code to support the applications.

Apple rumors are the best. They generate so much buzz too! Like xbandaidx said, I would expect maybe one or two of the rumors to be true. Out of the 30 or 40.

I would love to see something more to be done about gaming, but that isn't Apples main focus here, and I'm perfectly fine with that as well.

I, however would not rule out the possibility of games someday on macs, but it's gonna be a long while before that happens.

Plus, I'm fine with my Nintendo DS Lite, heck it matches my white macbook. :D
