I think this is great news. Not great news that Steve Jobs is sick, but that was universally speculated anyway. Great news that it wasn't anything more severe! It sounds like he will get through it fine, and I applaud Jobs and Apple for coming clean about the whole thing.
-
It's apparently a pretty common side-effect of pancreatic surgery - the pancreas takes care of a bunch of hormones etc.
I am not sure it's nothing serious - Steve has not been healthy for a while and I wish he would making becoming healthy his #1 priority. I am a big believer in alternative medicine but unfortunately the field is cluttered with charlatans and it seems Steve is listening to the wrong people. My feeling is that Mr. Jobs didn't take the weight loss seriously until it forced him to withdraw from MacWorld.
He is giving his all to Apple and maybe sometimes he should really give a little less.
Of course, as Sam said, the good news is he's not on his deathbed. I hope he'll learn from this and shift down a gear now. He'll still be the best. -
I was actually looking forward to Apple under new leadership.
-
you and no one else in the entire world. not even B.Gates. -
he's "been losing weight throughout 2008." and only "A few weeks ago", the "doctors think they have found the cause."
oh wow. that was pretty reassuring.
never trust anything coming out of a marketing & sales guy's arse ... even on his / her death bed.
