This is probably going to sound like an extremely dumb question, but here goes:
I have downloaded Ubuntu 7.04 with a PC using . . . Ubuntu. How, and with what, do I copy to a CD? Yes, it's pretty dumb; it was simple enough with Windows (and I could just use a Windows machine again, but don't want to do that), but I've never done much of anything with Linux except surf the Net. My intent (with the help of folks with more smarts than my own) is to use the CD to install Ubuntu into little PB which is going soon to live with a friend who also wants to give Linux a shot.
Edit: Damn, put this in the wrong forum. To any mod who is able, would you please put this post in its proper place? Thanks.

Isn't the whole idea behin linux to have an unix based os "like mac osx"? Stick with tiger.

This isn't for me, MYK. I already have a Mac, and a PC with Ubuntu installed. My buddy wants the PB set up this way and I'm trying to do that for him. Additionally, this isn't work related, or actually needed in any way. He and I both will only be using Linux to experiment (basically as I'm attempting now) and play with the system.

And Linux can do somethings the MacWorld only dreams about. -
Ok, got it done: right click on desktop image, click on "write to disk." So simple yet I had a hard time finding the answer.
