I like the new touch, but nano is kind of meh...at least until I try it!
-
Hmm, iTunes 10 is "available now" unless you actually try to download it. It currently shows as "coming soon".
-
Definitely going to get ipod nano.
-
i want it all. *jumps on apple bandwagon*
shuffle for riding on bike
nano when i want to just hook it up to car
touch for all times.
tv... hey why not right? just dont like the $5 for renting movies. redbox has them for $1. -
omg can u get the new touch for free after buying a Macbook pro?
-
masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
till september 7
also- does the new ipod touch have 2 cameras and 0 internal microphones? just checking...
do they expect us to use facetime with headphones and record hd video without sound, or am i mistaken? -
There is an internal microphone.
-
I don't think I like the new Nano... that is just too small for a finger-touch interface... but I guess I'll have to see it in person.
The revival of the old-style Shuffle design was a good call though.
The Touch... well, we all knew pretty much what was coming there... getting the cameras is kind of a surprise to me though. -
...Man. I was hoping they would move away from chrome for the back of the Touch. Mine has scratches and dents up the wazoo. Bugger.
-
Apple TV was a downer for me.
no 1080 but that was not too much of a suprise, but the fact you cant stream much VIDEO from your network only photos and music was a suprise ( no DivX or Xvid either ). Netflix support may nice. -
Very much like the Roku boxes now, but with the nice addition of iTunes music and photo streaming.
-

wait... there is an internal mic? seriously?
that may be enough for me to drop my current phone and go wifi + skype / prepaid cell... -
No free new ipod touch if you buy your MBP..........
-
In the fine print it says that the free iPod touch will be a 2nd generation 8GB model.
-
Wow, nice catch there Greg. I would have assumed it would be a 3rd gen since it's been out for a year already. Hm.
-
cnet's "first impressions" review seems to confirm my guess that making the Nano a tiny touch screen was not the greatest idea.
Apple iPod Nano (6th-gen), first impressions | Crave - CNET -
I'm a little surprised they still have yet to release a new revision of the MB Air... It's a little overdue IMO
-
ummm... did the nano lose the camera?
Sold My ipod 3g 32gb for 220 five minutes ago!!!
im surprised with the pricing.
229 for 16gb or 8gb 199. feel free to chime in on the pricing history with apple.
the nano pricing is retarded.
definitely picking up a shuffle for fun rides -
no camera on new Nano.
I don't like the new Nano but I would get one if someone comes out with a wrist band for it.
-
So the new nano has...
A smaller screen
No more video playback
No more camera
No more internal speaker
...
Why did they think this was a step in the right direction? I mean, if this had been the new shuffle then I'd be totally game, but come on! Way fewer features for the same price? Yeesh... -
because they want to boost stats on the iOS devices... they want all the good stuff in the iPod touch so more people will buy that.
-
The new nano is totally the right size for me. It's small and light. To me, the ipod touch is too big to be a music player. I think the smaller, the lighter the music player the better since I can put it in my pocket and go at anytime. As for the lost of the feature of a camera, I don't know how important this feature is to other users, but for me, I don't see this feature as important since I rarely need to record videos.
-
i think they shouldve kept the nano click wheel and cam (+the new extras). wouldve been total bad .
-
You won't be recording any HD video with the new iPod Touch (which honestly isn't surprising).
iPod Touch Camera Is Less Than One Megapixel | Gadget Lab | Wired.com -
I'll hold off on anything.. I hear a Zune HD refresh is on the way. If it's crap.. ipod touch may be the way to go. Or any phone will do. Just saying.
-
Isn't that like saying "If the Pope is Catholic"?
-
it does record HD video
-
Well judging by the first one.. it isn't.. so not really. (The Zune not the pope
)
-
Sorry, you're right. I read the article wrong.
-
Well, on a whim, I went and bought the new AppleTV. I guess thats what you do when you're recovering from surgery and have nothing better to do than float around the web and buy stuff you really dont need. I figure, its only $99, and that made it more appealing to me than the previous model.
-
how do you like it?
-
LOL, only $99. You just paid for a cash machine, not one that dispenses it, but absorbs it from your wallet. Unless all you're going to do is stream your music and photos then you're only spending $99. Those rentals will increase the price of the ATV. Now, there's nothing wrong with that, Netflix makes a living of that, but don't fool yourself into believing you're only paying $99.
-
Well I'm not stupid - I'm only referring to the cost of the hardware itself. I know full well what it does, what I will be spending, etc. You drive a car? Own a home? Same thing, right?
-
Calm down dude, I wasn't trying to insult you. You took it the wrong way, good grief. Short fuse much? I was actually making a point about Apple marketing the ATV for only $99. They are marketing it to make it seem cheaper but it cost more in the end.
-
Havent gotten it yet; according to Apple, it'll ship in "September". I'll post up my thoughts and everything on it after I've viewed a couple of movies or shows
