i just opened my battery/harddrive for the first time. i put the cover pack on but it doesnt line up and there's a slight gap. are there anyways to fix this?

Was there a gap before you opened it? Odds are you just didn't get it lined up properly. Try again, they can be a little finicky.
-
Yeah you really have to align it proper. I managed it after a couple of tries...

The battery cover is a bit tricky to get on just right, the trick is to align it as evenly as possible and make sure it's flush to the rest of the casing before snapping it back into place.

thanks for the suggestions, i tried but its still loose. do they sell replacement covers anyway or will apple exchange one for me

I have tried snapping it back many ways, if you do it correctly it will seem to be tight at first until u put some pressure to move it or slide it then you will notice it's still loose despite the way u put it back. This problem does not bother me though unless I slide my macbook on the table or cooler pad.

You gotta give it a bit of force when you slide the edges in, and you have to press down on the part that is connecting with the rest of the bottom, and that might make it tighter. That's what I had to do.
