Lets say I am on a long airplane trip and I am playing a game in windows when they turn the lights off. Will the screen dim and my keyboard light up? While I wouldnt mind the keys lighting up I am not sure if I would like my screen to dim while I am playing.

    Anyone have thoughs on this?

Good question. I KNOW the keys will light up, but I'm not sure about the screen. It shouldn't matter too much though, since if it dims it'll be just as easy to see if it's darker in the room and you can just bring it back up manually.

Under System Preferences go to Display and unckeck the Automatically adjust brightness to make the laptop screen not dim.

It just takes pressing the screen brightness button (default f2), and you can bring up the brightness again. Not a big deal, and can do it ingame.

wait, this is gaming in windows.

1st- im not even sure if the keys will light up (automatically), i don't remember.
2nd- you will most likely be uninstalling the nvidia driver that ships with boot camp to install the latest one from laptopvideo2go, in which case, you can set the screen brightness to whatever you want in the nvidia control panel, and that will override any other brightness setting (should you choose to use it)
3rd- dont expect to be able to play a game for very long if you are on a long airline trip. if its a 2d game, maybe. sega emulator or something. if its a modern 3d game, maybe 45 minutes on the battery...

Yea if you wanna play on the airline, you might wanna check if they have any form of outlets. Either normal household outlets, or they might have the car type outlets. Or bring extra batteries if you have em : s

Keyboard light turns on automatically. I think Apple sells an Airline adapter... I haven't seen the outlets on planes.... then again I never looked, and they might be in first class.
