Hey all!
I got a 13" MBP 4 days agoIts kicking so far...very impressed. I still don't think OS X is any better than windows but it sure is very slick. So I have a pretty straight forward question. I want to upgrade my ram from the base 2gb to 8gb. Will this ram work CM3X4GSD1066?
Other links to that ram

Now before people tell me that I dont need 8gb of ram...I can get a ram module for $70I just need to know it fits!
Thanks!

Yup, that RAM will work with the MBP.

you can get a $350+ stick of ram for $70? buy me a few while your at it

Its a mistake on the pricelist of an online store in South Africa. They forgot to add a 0
I have already ordered two just in case it can work but Im ordering 5 more sticks tomorrow! Unfortunately they dont deliver outside of SA. If someone really really wants the ram I could post it but I'm not too keen for that. But if someone really wants it then I will.

dunno about laws in SA, hopefully they cant stick you with the bill later...
-
when will the prices go down? I'm really interested in having 8gig of ddr3 (aren't we all?) but its so expensive right now. ;p
-
Majority of the people don't need 8GB hence it's not that common and why the prices are so expensive. I doubt prices for 8GB will come down much this year (in fact prices this year have been rising due to increase in NAND prices). Maybe in the next few years.

I received the ram. Going to install it after work
The store did however realize their mistake on my new order and its back to $500
