Hello all,
Im currently interested in both the 13" and 15" MBP. The laptop will be my primary computer until I really need more processing power in which case I will get an i7 desktop. Now the question is will the 13"s 9400m run a samsung t260 (full HD, hdmi port, dvi) at its full resolution. If its not possible then I guess I will get the 15" with dedicated vram and gpu. Obviously I dont want the laptop to run games on full HD. Just video, photoshop and some other apps.

it will run w/o any problems.my old macbook with intel 950 was almost always connected to my samsung t244
-
The MacBooks and MacBook Pros will run that external display no problem! As Xirurg noted, even the old MacBooks ran such displays no problem.
-
even current Air's can even drive those huge 30" with 26xx res.

Thanks guys!Guess I will get the 13" then. I heard that the samsung t260 gives problems on mac computers, does anyone know if this is actually true?
I will get the lower end 13" MBP. Any online store in canada that sells 2x2GB ram for that laptop? -
Monitor does not matter AFAIK.

Yea thats also what I thought until I heard those rumors. The pricelist of one of the resellers in South Africa even states in large red letters "NOT MAC COMPATIBLE" next to the samsung t260. But it is south africa so who knows

Sometimes some monitors seem to have weird color settings when you hook it up to a laptop so that is something that might happen when you hook it up to you rmac. But you can easily fix that with a screen calibration.

I've got my MPB hooked up to a Samsung T240HD at full resolution. If you don't have them already I'd recommend getting your mini display port adapters at Monoprice, they sell them for less than $10.

Thanks for the heads up
Shipping to Canada is only $2.30!
