So it's been one year and a 2 months i've had my MBP.

I am thinking about redoing all the thermal paste, once i get my new 320GB hard drive.

Should i do that? Or no?

I would be using artic silver 5 btw

It won't make much of a difference--maybe 2-3c. I guess it wouldn't hurt, but why bother?

Ditto. Don't take this the wrong way OP but it would better suit you just to USE your computer rather than like other people who get bored and want to create problems on their Mac to fix. Let it alone.

Yeah as Roguemonk said, it will only make the temperature go down about 3-4 degrees. It's also a ton of work, just to lower a few degrees. I really would just let it go, and download smcFancontrol if you really feel the need to reduce temps. Apple has been known to apply more than enough thermal paste, so you should be just fine with what you have. ;)

It's not worth voiding the warranty over a slight operating temperature reduction.

Yeah, I forgot to add that. If you run into a problem applying the thermal paste, you would have to pay for them to fix it, because it would void the warranty. Sorry!
