I've been noticing some strange behavior from my MBP. I have changed the program used to open a few different file types of files (ie. I changed video files to be opened by VLC instead of Quicktime) but, after awhile they mysteriously get changed back. I've had the same problem with other types of files so, I'm pretty sure its not anything to do with Quicktime. Any ideas?

So, you changed the application association by right clicking on the file, going to Get Info, changing the Open With dropdown box and then clicking the Change All button? And the association automatically changes to another application after some time?

Yes, exactly. I've only noticed this happening with video files (.avi or .mpeg) and torrent files but, those are the only files I've changed the program association.
