Of course my external HDD needs to have a powered USB so I stick it into one of the USB slots, the second is my mouse, and that's about it. I need more USBs.

So I figured, why not use the Expresscard slot (34) I have on my MBP. But I could only find ugly crap USB extensions like this one:

Does anyone know any better - maybe with just USB slots Expresscards?

    Price is not an issue.

    Thanks ;)

I did, and the one I got seems to not be powered, so my external HDD doesn't work :(

Yes and that leaves me with no powered USBs for my external soundcard.

Make sure it's got downpower, though. Some cheaper powered USB hubs only need the ac adapter for flashy lights or bad circuitry.

I highly recommend the Mac Mini sized hub from Belkin. I've got the one with 4 usb ports, and it works great.
