    I'll be getting the educational discount, but does anyone know the policy or price difference between getting it online or at a local Apple store? I'm interested in the Tax.

    I think the Apple store has decent prices with the education discount. I am not an Apple customer though.

    Taxes are based on the zipcode you ship to or the zipcode you purchase at (probably the same, or may have the same tax rate anyways). Apple Store has the same exact price as online. But if you order over the phone you may get a discount.

    Actually, I ordered online, then called to cancel. They offered me $50 off and an upgrade to Overnight Shipping so that I would not cancel. You may want to try that!
