    Got a question for others who have ordered a MBP recently. I've been tracking my shipment via fedex and since Saturday night, it has said "Departed FedEx Location - Anchorage, AK." No updates since then. I live in San Francisco, CA. Any chance I get it tomorrow (Tuesday, the 27th)? Thanks!

    Not likely. Mine took several days just to move down through California (I'm in Fallbrook, San Diego county). I'm getting mine tomorrow though (27th). Don't worry, the wait goes by quicker than you think ;) What is the estimated arrival date according to FedEx?

    There likely won't be any updates until tomorrow morning, this being a holiday weekend and such. When you get it depends on the shipping method (overnight, 2nd-day, etc) and the day it left its origin.

    I chose the free shipping method from apple.com. I'm not sure exactly what method they use, though I'm sure it's the cheapest one possible. Estimated arrival date is the 29th. Was just hoping maybe it would be here tomorrow, the wait is driving me mad haha.

    FedEx just updated the tracker. The package is in Oakland now, about 20-30min east of me and has departed from the FedEx location there. I think there is a good chance I have it by tomorrow! I'm pumped.

    Don't be surprised if it doesn't show up today. FedEx tends to stick to its arrival dates pretty closely. Check the tracker sometime this morning to see if the package was placed on the truck for delivery.

    When I lived in Indiana a few years back, I had a package sit at the local FedEx hub for an entire day because it arrived there early. On the other hand, on the very rare occasion that a UPS package arrived at the local center early, they always delivered it.

    That would suck. Hard. It is currently at the local fedex facility in San Francisco, as of 7:30am this morning. I'll let you guys know...

    If it's not on a truck by 1 or so, I'm going to go to the fedex store and see if they'll let me just pick it up. Most of those delivery companies won't let you do that, but maybe I'll get some clerk who doesn't know the company's policy ;).

    UPDATE: It is on the fedex truck for delivery! Should be here by 3pm.

    If it's not on the truck now (8:15 Pacific), it's not going to be at all. Just about any package scheduled for delivery is usually on the truck by about 7:30 that morning.

    It really depends on what your route is.

    I live in a city at the base of where two routes break off, so we have both morning and afternoon trucks.

    But, anyway, congrats, Hooahman. Be sure to tell us once you have it unpackaged and you're basking in its glory.
