    Hey all,

Bought a 13" MBP two weeks ago and I love it. I noticed a stuck red pixel, and tried a few methods to fix it. The flashing colours method didn't work, but then I tapped with a pencil and it disappeared for a couple of hours and came back. Then I massaged it and it's been gone for a few days.

From your experiences, has anyone been successful in permanently getting rid of a stuck pixel? Do the stuck pixels usually come back, and if so, about how long does it last?

Thanks in advance, your help is greatly appreciated.

Why don't you just exchange it?

I actually went and bought a new one, so that I could migrate my stuff to it and return my old one. However, the new one has a chip on the cover, so I just want to go return it (and don't want to go through the hassleo f buying another one again...).

The older one seems to have a nicer keyboard as well, the newer one feels more "clicky" as if some of the springs are defective.

Ok returned the last one, got a new replacement (3rd unit). This one has a stuck pixel as well. Will have one more try tomorrow, and see what happens!

Finally got one with NO stuck pixels today. (Fourth unit). One thing I noticed is that each of the units had different LCDs and hard drives... I went from Chi Mei -> AU Optronics -> AU Optronics -> LG Phillips. The first had amazing colors, the second and third were very very blue, and the last seems a little bit washed out, but I'd rather have this than one with stuck pixels.
