Its not very strong wobbles a lot am I the only one?
-
no idea what you mean... mine is fine... not really any different than my 3 year old MBP
-
No, you're not alone. I noticed this on my brothers MBP and in a showroom with 2 other MBP...
-
yes,it is much "weaker" then mb's
-
the new macbooks and macbook pros use the same size hinges
the macbooks hinge seems to work perfectly but the macbook pro's doesnt work very well because it is meant for the macbook -
wobbles side to side or up and down? It might be due to it being a bigger screen.
-
it looks like it wobbles more than my old MBP, at first glance.. but its an optical illusion because of the shiney screen showing more reflection moving... it doesn't wobble or move any more than my old MBP does... of course a smaller and lighter screen would have less "wobble" duh...
-
Get it exchanged. Mine does wobble vertically ever so slightly and only when being moved, definitely not the extent that your post alludes to.
-
Well It's going to wobble, if it didn't you won't be able to open it.
-
The fact that the hinge is easier to move with your hand does not make it "weaker" by any means.
They just added a little more vaseline on that baby
-
Yeah Mine wobbles vertically like if I put a 90 degree angle the lid closes but on the unibody MacBook its strong like a rock.
-
15" is weak but I played around with a 17" its stiff as a mba's hinge.
-
mine moves only when it's a steep slope like my legs when on on the bed. Otherwise the hinge is rock solid.
-
agree with op. it's weak.
-
My aluminum MB has a fairly strong hinge, and it will only change the angle if I bump it. I guess that's a good sign.
