i recently bought an xbox 360, but my tv isnt very big. i was wondering if i could use my mbp as a display for it somehow. i have the DVI converter that comes with the macbook pro, the HD av cable that comes with the 360, and a VGA HD cable i bought separately. can this be done with what i have? or do i need to buy something more? and how much would it cost.

I don't think you can do this.

I don't believe the MBP will accept an incoming signal for video like that. In fact, I don't know of any laptop monitor that would.

The DVI port on the MBP is a DVI-out port. You will need a TV tuner to be able to run your console on your MBP. I recommend either a expresscard tuner or a firewire tuner, as USB tuners are slow and tend to be laggy.
