I have a late 2012 13" MBP. The laptop was water damaged and sent to a 3rd party to replace the logic board (powerbook medic). The computer works as before, but since receiving it I've noticed that on occasion if I pick up the laptop and put pressure on the middle left underside of the computer, the screen will show artifacts and the computer will freeze. The only way to get it working again is holding the power button and restarting, at which point it runs fine until the next issue with pressure on the underside of the computer. I'm assuming this is some sort of connection issue, but while I can send it back to the logic board repairer for a warranty fix, I'm wondering if there is a simple solution I can perform at home. Has anyone encountered these symptoms and know what I can do? I've already tried poking around inside the computer and nothing appears obviously amiss.

Sounds like a short circuit around that area. If the 3rd party shop offered any warranty definitely pay them a visit.

Yeah, that sounds like a major issue. I'm surprised, and kind of baffled by it.

Definitely take it back to your 3rd party supplier ASAP.
