flipping a laptop upside down defeats the normal air convection it was designed with, thus making it hotter. I don't think this egg would be safe to eat, even though it looks "cooked". Just because it's white doesn't mean you should eat it.
I could be incorrect, but it seems you can cook egg whites very slowly at 125 farenheit
Also, though this is amusing, there are details missing here. I quickly found other duplicate posts and there are no statements regarding
1. final temp
2. ambient temp
3. how long it took to "cook" the egg
4. what programs/opperations were running
5. did they actually eat it
6. did they have bacon and cheese to go with that too
With out any real details, or conclusive comparisons to other notebooks, this is realy nothing more than a joke, and I mean that in the nicest way possible -
Its really funny
, but I doubt it actually works; or works as well as they show it. The bottom left casing of my MacBook (where it gets hot) is usually around 30 C, which is way not enough to cook an egg, at least, not enough to cook it well.
Its just used for Mac bashers to attack even more. Once again, yes, the Macs do get hot, but that's just overboard.

Yeah.. But hey, I saw vid of someone cooking a steak on a PS3. OF course, he took the top lid off.
But man, mine doesn't get that hot even when gaming. If it did, my legs would have been cooked LONG ago.
And my MBP is one of the older ones which get hotter than the C2D. -
I think it was just a joke. Though they can get hot, they can't get that hot. Right?

If they got that hot, they'd already be printing " HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT" around the side of the macbook, just like you see on a mcdonalds coffee.

The only machine I had that got that hot was my old HP I purchased in 05! machine could melt faces!

thats just one more thing a mac can do. Now if I can get it to do the dishes I can say goodbye to the wife. lol
