    MBP screen backlight problem

    Hi all

    After going to STAND BY mode and SCREEN OFF my MBP isn't turning on backlight of LCD sometimes -especially on batteries.
    Please advice is it hardware of MBP faulty Nvidia? I got similar issues in ASUS W2V - this was software problem :confused:

    Is it the new MBP or the older model? The new MBP's are having problems with sleep mode, with an expected fix on the way.

    Alright, so they aren't the new ones. Supposedly this can happen when your GPU heats up. The GPU gets too hot and then the user puts the lappy to sleep only to find that it will not wake up unless it is forced shut down and rebooted.

    Sorry, but I'm not sure how to fix it. I would assume that a software update would help, but it could be a hardware problem.
