Are you just pressing the eject button once, or are you holding it down for a few seconds? Have you tried dragging the icon for the disc to the trash to see if it will eject?

I've tried literally every possible button press w/ the dvd and also drag the dvd to the trash and it just wont f****** eject. there doesn't seem to be any small hole where you put a paperclip to force it out either.

Might be an old article, but theres some possible solutions here.

Seems like pressing the trackpad button during startup, and leaving the computer alone for 10min after bootup, are the two most common solutions people give. (two separate solutions, not just one)

Just restart your computer and hold down the click when the grey screen comes on. Your CD/DVD should eject, and then the Apple logo should appear on screen, booting up.

Is the a very tiny hole in the drive like most drives have? You can push a paper clip carefully & firmly into it to manually eject if it's giving you issues.

It's a slot loading drive, so it doesn't have this/If other slot loading drives do, the ones on macs dont.
