Hi,
I just installed Windows 7 on a Macbook Pro + Retina. When i try to run Remote Desktop as soon as it connects to the clients machine it shuts down. I can't figure out if it is the resolution on this machine that makes not work or what. can someone try it out on ther machine and see if works. any suggestions....

Yes the RDP client just shuts down. The screen tried to open like its about to connect and then just shuts down..no error thrown nothing, just shuts down.

i am able to connect via RDP on the MAC side of thing. i.e. if i log into the MAC and use the RDP client that came with office 2011 for mac. that seems to work just fine.

Damonnoah, Did you ever figure out this issue? The only thing I could get to work is uninstalling Bootcamp from the Host machine that I was RDP-ing into. That would allow me to launch RDP with out it just opening and closing on the rMBP. It's really annoying and I have been looking for a resolution for months. Please let me know.
Thanks, -
Hi,
Your in win 7 bootcamp on your rMBP and the RDP instantly dies on your end when you try remoting to another windows machine?
Is it only when remoting into certain machines that this happens, or does it work with some connections but not others? Is the remote machine setup to accept incoming RDP connections? Is port forwarding setup on the other end to forward 3389 to the right machine, etc?
Sorry for the basic questions. Just wanted to rule out the obvious stuff.
Thanks,
Ben
