    I want to connect my unibody mbp 13 to my benq v2400 eco monitor. Just wondering will it output 1920x1080 if i use the mini displayport to vga adaptor?

    Or is it better if i use hdmi? (currently have my ps3 connected via hdmi)

    Yep, it will work.
    I'm outputting from DVI to VGA adapter on my 2008 MBP just fine.
