Ok this is really bothering me now. I have messenger mac running on my MBP and it disconnects ie signs off of it. The reason being "Your internet connection was lost, so you have been logged out of MSN"...something like that. This happens all the time and i have to re sign in all the time.

Why is it that my Toshiba laptop stays connected to msn when this happens??

Is there something wrong with mac messenger or does my airport wireless need updating???

Mac messenger sucks. Change to Adium or Fire and see if you like either one of those better. I would recommend Adium.

Something's been buggy about my MSN Messenger: Mac as well. Everytime I open it it closes unexpectedly.

So I switch to Adium, and no I like it more. Tabbed IM chats and the general layout and preferences of Adium is much more preferable.

yeah Microsoft hasn't done anything with messenger for mac for sooo long, it is kind of ridiculous, the PC version has been significantly updated and works well.

but like he says^ those should work well, so does ichat, it is a shame ichat wasn't compatible with more programs like msn and yahoo messenger? maybe it is now???

I think it's compatible with jabber (google talk) but nobody uses that!
MSN messenger for pc sucks big time also!! It fills your screen with so many ads that it's like willingly installing adware.

Frostwire? Don't know how good that is though, as I haven't used it.
