    Hi there,
I recently got my computer back from service after a hard drive replacement, and all is fine for now except that when I try o run a Mac OS X virtual machine in VMWare Workstation I just can;t run it. It either says that the hard drive is in use, or the parent can't be found. I never used to have this issue before, but now I can't get the thing to start up! To sum up: VMWare Workstation 7 either says that the hard drive (virtual har drive) is in use by another snapshot (there are no other snapshots so how could that be?), or that the parent can't be read. What?
    Help plzzz!

you have lock files stuck... look inside the VM files (depending on versions of VMWare and such) for files that have .lock or something like that on them, and get rid of them. It just sees the lock files and thinks its in use so stops trying.
