Well, first post!!![]()
From the beginning, I have be on a windows based OS. To this day, I have a few laptops and they are all running on XP.
However, with the introduction of leopard, and the bugs with vista, I am interested in switching over to the MAC OS X. Now, I am a total rookie with MAC except for the old-school, true "floppy" disk machines i used to mess with back in elementary school!! Besides that, I have spent the day trying to find an answer to my question(s).
So... I will be purchasing a sager np 9261 configured to my specs. This will be a non-gaming, app. machine for CG illustration/animation, picture and sound editing software with some web browsing.
Basically, I called sager and spoke with brain... good, solid service! He told me that since sager doesn't support Mac OS X, i would not be covered and they would ship me a "blank/clean" machine and I would install the OS myself.... which wouldn't be the first time.
Has anyone ran a non-windows or specially Mac OS X on a non-mac machine and made it work? and if so, what hardware models are compatible with Mac OS X? I know i could buy a 17" macbook pro and save $$, but it doesn't offer the power and customization that the sager has.
Anyways, no flames please... I'm not a newb to computers but I'm clueless with how MAC works and its interfaces. If there is a way that this might work, perfect!
thanks!

As I explained in your other thread
, no, as that violates the OS X EULA. If you want to use OS X, get a Mac.

If you want OS X, buy a Mac. A lot less headaches. If you insist on buying a Sager and running Leopard, do a Google search. No one here can help.
