Ok installed Vista on my MBP using Bootcamp 2.1. The system starts up and I get the Blue screen of the ac startup. Then it pauses for a while, and boots directly into Vista.

What a I doing wrong. Even after running bootcamp repair in Vista it still just boots into vista upon restart.

Second Reboot and repair of Bootcamp and it worked fine.

Reboot your Mac and hold the Option key down until you're prompted to choose which partition to boot from, then choose OS X. Once you're back in OS X, go into System Prefs and choose Startup Disk. Choose OS X as the default startup disk.

Or, if you boot into Vista and you have the Boot Camp drivers installed, you should be able to go into the Boot Camp options, and select OS X as the main startup drive as well.

Glad to hear it. If a new MBP is released I might think about returning this one, and updating. But I know this one is reliable. Will wait and see what comes around at WWDC. And wait and see what the spec are. If it's a decent upgrade I might consider it.

Oh yeah this thing is so much easier, especially with Bootcamp running vista X64 when I need it. I think I will be a Mac switcher for sure.

Try rEFIt. It's a bootloader I used when I had linux intalled and it lets you choose which one to boot from each time you turn on the computer.

i second refit, it worked pretty well and can allow you to triple boot windows-osx-linux (should you care about such nonsense)

no longer use that. dual booting is plenty, but i would still recommend refit even for dual booting.
