what is the main diffrence between the processors in mac book air models 11-13" ?
how fast is the ssd drive in them and are there problems with it like some other ssd out there ?

About 15%, surprisingly significant.
Decently fast. No, or if there is, Apple will replace it. -

Although benchmark differences put the base 1.7GHz Core i5 processor in the 13" MBA as outperforming the base 1.6GHz Core i5 in the 11" MBA by about 15%, I highly doubt that will be something that you actually notice. Those are also with benchmarks and specific tests that may or may not directly apply to what you are doing. The 11" MBA is more than fast enough for being a primary system for someone who just wants to surf the internet, manage their iTunes library, use office productivity programs, consume media, organize photos, etc. That is about all the 13" MBA was made to do as well since there are better Macs out there if you want to encode videos or generally push the system in a manner which is wasn't really designed to do. Both can even be configured with the 1.8GHz Core i7 upgrade.
The SSDs in both MBAs are OK. They are going to be an upgrade over hard drives but they won't be as fast as third party SSDs (such as the one I have) that are pushing beyond the 450MB/s read/write speed.
The main differences are essentially going to boil down to battery life, SSD capacity, and display sizes. I feel that the 11" MBA could be used as a primary system so long as it is paired with an external USB hard drive and an additional monitor since 11.6" is really hard (for me at least) to look at all day while trying to do some serious work. -
I think the main advantage in the 13" vs 11" is the most obvious the 2" screen difference.
11" is a netbook size screen which is "annoying" at least to me and a 13" screen is "usable" as a primary screen. That is just my personal preferences however. I think using a 13" screen would be much nicer, and on top of that to me making a 13" computer as small as the MBA is a lot more impressive. -
I agree that the 13" screen, combined with the higher 1440x900 resolution, makes the MBA 13 a lot more usable as a primary computer while still being plenty thin and light to carry.
I couldn't decide at first, but since it was a secondary computer I went with the MBA 11 and I'm glad I did. It's small and light enough to be held in one hand and used with the other like an iPad, or used in all manner of laying-on-the-couch-or-bed positions that would be awkward or unwieldy with a bigger laptop, and works better on an airplane seat tray. I needed a travel computer and my wife wanted an iPad, but since getting the MBA 11 we're both fighting over it.
Mac book air 11-13"??
