Hi, My sister has a Mac G5 and it is DVD-CD/RW only, She really wants a DVD burner but the mac ones are a bit out of her price range. I gave her a cheap enclosure from ebay with a old Lite-on DVD burner and it didnt work. Can anyone recomend a 5.25" enclosure that will work, And will any DVD burner work inside it or does it require a special combo. Please keep price in mind.

A Power Mac G5 or an iMac G5? There are upgrade kits either way to upgrade the internal drive.

Regarding enclosures for an existing burner, not sure about really cheap ones........ technically I think a USB 2.0 or Firewire enclosure should work
