This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    (Im not sure if this thread or a similar sort has been posted, and im sorry if it has) I have just received a macbook as a present (today!) and taking a peek at the web i have seen some really great freeware apps for the mac. I am just wondering what your opinion is on good freeware. As a new mac user im not sure about what is good and what isn't so i am asking you to help me.

    Please post the name of the app and what it does. I know there are some good sites but some of the time people like me (casual computer users) just dont understand. I do understand most stuff however so no need to dumb it alot.

    So the name and what it does and possibly any information you feel is helpful. Once again i am sorry if this has been done before.
