Is the processor in the MacBook 13.3" soldiered or is it a slot? Reason i'm asking is because i might want to change the processor to a merom in the future. If it's unchangeable i won't buy it.

    Regards

I am not 100% sure but I think I read somewhere that you can change it

The CPU is soldered to the motherboard.

The real question is if you really need Merom?

I mean, if a program have trouble running on the current incarnation of the MacBook, dropping a Merom in it will not make it magically run the program better per se.

What is the logic behind soldering a cpu to the mobo? It makes it far more expensive if either part needs to be replaced for some reason...
