I got a replacement for my macbook air today. The weird thing is for some weird reason the shop only replaced my laptop and decided to keep the box/install disks of the new one. I'm guessing they will sell it as a refurb. I know it's a dumb move because of serial numbers!
I'm covered though, right? The install disks work on both Airs?

I think so, cause my MBP and MB (white) disks works on my sister's and father's MB/MBP

Yeah I know about that, but I think the Air has a different custom OS X for the finger gesturing thing. I read somewhere that you can only use it on the Air. I just wanted to make sure that it works on any Air.

by your logic every AIR has its own custom discs, which I dont think even apple can afford to do, or are my missing something here...

Yeah, I think you're right. I must of misunderstood something.
