My MBP does a similar thing. It eventually does say 100% if you leave it charging for a while. My theory is that the battery is in constant use, even when plugged in.

eh no, I charged it all night until it was full and it was turned off, and in the morning it still said 99%, I gave it sufficient time to fully charge and it had'nt, unless your telling me it takes 9 hours to charge to 100&

I do not think there is a problem with the battery. It's more the fact that the software has to figure out how much juice is in there, which isn't 100% accurate but very close none-the-less.

Your battery needs to fall to either 95 or 96% before it will start charging again.

I believe its normal that it takes a while to reach 100%, or power was disrupted during that time, and because the charge is above 96%, the battery won't be charged any more until it drops below that to prevent overcharging :).

This is not an issue, just use it on battery for a while and then reconnect, it'll almost certainly charge up to 100% again. Don't worry.

yeah the laptop won't recharge the battery until it gets down to the lower 90's%.

just gonna have to deal with it. part of the design. all laptops work that way.

It is GOOD that your laptop does that, stop trying to fix it. Check out the Battery Guide.
