Hello there everybody, I am a new member and its great to be here.. I have some questions about Apple and lets begin !

1- Can you buy a new Logic Board for the MBP (www.ifixit.com) they sell it but kind of expensive but have great specifications!

2- Why can't you add more then 2GB of Ram on the Macbook Pro?

    Oh Yea..
    Specifications:

Macbook Pro 2.16GHz, 1GB OF RAM, Intel Core Duo (1), ATI Radeon X1600, 120 Hard Drive (Updating Pretty Soon..)

3- What is the Highest Hard Drive GB Capacity?

4- Can You Change The Keyboards? If Possible and the Trackpad with the new technology

I know some the answers are gonna be negative just need advice from geeks out there.. ! :)

You can get a 500gb 2.5" SATA drive these days.

As for changing the trackpad, it seems like it would be a difficult mod. I don't believe its possible. The hardware is quite different.

No, you can't put a keyboard and trackpad from the new to the old Macbook Pro.

Uhh, the logic board, sure you can buy from ifixit, but you would only be able to buy the same one that you have now. (posibly a better one form the same generation, but no guarantees). You cant just upgrade to the latest mbp hardware. Unless something is wrong with it, theres no reason to buy a new logicboard.

If its a dual core (which it looks like it is), you should be able to use 4gb of ram, though im not sure of the specifics, youll have to ask other users who the the older 2.16 generation.

Again, you can change the keyboard with the same generation, but i doubt that anything after will work. Definitely not the newest mbps.

Pretty much, if something is broken, you can replace it, but you cant really upgrade the computer to newer specs.

    2) The reason that you can't put more than 2GB of RAM in the MBP is because that model doesn't support it; newer models "officially" support up to 4GB, but accept 6GB.

The memory controller on that model is older, I think, so it can't handle as much RAM.

Incorrect. My old MBP was the 2.16 ghz core 2 duo generation and I upgraded the ram to 4 GB no problems and it worked fine for close to two years until I sold it to get my current one.

That's the Core 2 Duo model. The OP is looking at the Core Duo model.

    Yeah, the 2.16 is in-fact a Core 2 Duo.

Well if he has the 32bit version, the max amount of ram hell be able to use it 3gb.
64bit, and he (should) be able to use atleast 4gb.
