I haved searched all over for the answer to this question but so far no luck.
I just installed WInXP with Bootcamp on my MacBook Pro 17" and so far Im very pleased.

Just had a question about a couple of things.

On Windows computer you can put "show desktop icon" and "Explorer" icon in the taskbar next to the start button on the left bottom side. Is there anyway to do this with WInXP installled like this on the MacBook.

Also is there anyway to get the right click working on the trackpad?

    Thanks

Track pad clicking isn't supported, unfortunately. You can right click by putting 2 fingers on the pad, and then pressing the button. And I believe you just drag the icons into that space... at least that's what I do on Vista.

Hey thanks it worked. I guess it just was a problem because I didnt know how to right click on the Macbook.

Now if I can just figure out how to setup a modem on it.

What do you mean support right click in XP? Do you mean an actual right click button? Personally I find 2 finger-click to be more convenient than a dedicated right click button.

When I used Mac OS X in school and we only had single button mice and needed right click for Photoshop...I remember you could hold down Ctrl + Click for right click. But that doesn't work in Windows. I seriously hope the next MacBook Pro has 2 buttons, because that was the number one reason why I did not get one.

It may also remain the number 1 reason you are not going to get one in the future either. The single click mouse button has been this way since 1984. Macbooks use 2 finger click and the iMac and Mac Pro desktops use the mighty mouse with a right click tap. Personally I don't think it's as major enough as you make it out to be in regards to not buying a Mac. Many people work with it just fine.

Apple mice have right clicks now, and you can right click with a Macbook/Pro by placing 2 fingers on the pad and pressing the button... it's a non-issue now. I know what you mean though, the Mac Pros at my school only use the old single click mice. That's why I always bring my own mouse with me. Apple mice in general suck, but you're making it seem like you can ONLY use Apple mice on Macs, and that they don't support right clicking at all.

Yeah, then after you do that you can use the whole Mac to beat yourself over the head for wasting an extra grand on a Mac with no OS X xD
