    Will the windows partition on the MBP be in NTFS or HFS+?

    NTFS. If the Windows partition was HFS+, it wouldn't work :p.

    Windows cant read HFS+ (at least to my knowledge), so it's going to be NTFS.

    That is correct, Windows can't read or write to HFS+ on its own :).
