I'm just wondering if the macbooks have regular hard drives that any PC notebook would have or if they have mac hard drives. Either way I'm looking to upgrade the macbooks drive to 7200 rpms, if that's possible at least.

It uses standard SATA notebook hard drives. There's no such thing as a Mac hard drive so you don't have to worry about that. :- )
