I need some feedback from as many MB users as I can on how they like it overall. What they do and dont like about it. And whether its something they woudnt think twice about buying again or could wait.

Umm so far I like the OS, the screen IS GREAT, I have never had viewing problems on it and its crisp as ever! I like the grey inside white outside thing, it adds great contrast, the keybard I think is the greatest thing on it though. They keys being 2mm apart is amazing best keyboard I have ever used! Ummm, the cmaera quaity is great and the real long touchpad is amazing as well, infact the only complaint I have is that there is only 2 USB ports.

I got mine about a week or so ago. And I love it. The screen is awesome, I love the keyboard, I love how the computer looks. Intergrating over from a Win XP machine was way way easier than I thought.
Since I got the low end model, the only thing I may do is add a bit more ram to it. But even with out it, its still much speeder than my win machine.
My advice to anyone thinking about it is do it. Its a great buy. -
I like the screen - no problems with glare, but the horizontal viewing angle is a bit on the short side, I have to make small adjustments if I move my head/body. Vertical viewing angle is great. Construction quality is superb, no cracking or flexing anywhere. The keyboard is nice - even though it takes some time to get used to it.
It does get warmer than I'd like it to be, but it won't burn me. 512MB is adequate only if you do light work, Apple should make 1GB the default. -
Is the travel when keys are pressed shorter than say any other PC laptop? Is it noiseless? Im familiar with the powerbook/MBP keyboard and how those keys feel, so if you want compare to that. I really do love the MBP keyboard and how soft and effortless the keys feel...but its out of my budget.
thx -
The keyboard is actually an illusion, its the same as the MBP keyboard, but different material, its spacing is no different than anything else.
Solid notebook, Solid OS, Hardcore wifi card (8 houses down, I still got a signal suburbs), brilliant screen, with 16 adjustable brightness settings.
Sudden Motion sensor, LED on the battery (press the button on the battery and it lights up the LEDs to show how much power is in the battery, best webcam I have used. The Real GEM is OS X.
I agree 1GB is a must. -
I'm a windows convert, and had my macbook for about two weeks now.
so far, I LOVE it-OSX is so easy to use, and beautiful to look at. -
Yo!
Thats great to hear, I'm glad you're enjoying OS X as well as your Macbook. Hopefully you'll stick with Apple for a while, and know that the premium is well worth it. I personally think of Apple products as luxary items, you know the Cadillac/BMW of the class.
The quality is outstanding, and Apple is truely committed to their customers. I think as long as we have Steve Jobs, we'll be happy. Lets just hope that Jobs has a big say in who is successor will be down the road when he retires.
