My caps lock key is always popping off (not that I use it, ever), but if I press towards the top of the key, the whole thing lifts up.
If I press back on the bottom of the key, it clicks back in.

I bought it last year, December 15.
    Any helpful solutions?
or just bring it in before it's too late?

(No I don't have apple care)

If you're close enough and it's convenient, just drop by an Apple Store and have somebody take a look. That can't be a major issue. I'd be tempted to use a dab of Super Glue if I were out of warranty and had the problem, but I only live about ten minutes from a SF Apple store.

If it uses the scissor method, than the latches on one side are broken, which is why it's lifting up. My ' key did that on my DELL Inspiron 8600c.

If the plastic piece is indeed broken, than the only way to replace it is to replace the entire keyboard.
