I think it's good, just remember to check the battery when you buy it

Is that a "buy now" price? If so, that's a bit too low, in my opinion. Better be cautious.
-
too good to be true.
-
One of the following must be true:
- Seller doesn't know the true value of the laptop
- Something is wrong with it
- All of the above
Think its option 3. -

That price is extremly low. where are you seeing this?
-
Definitely too good to be true. I'd be weary of such a low price on a system that really isn't that old. We all know Macs have inflated resale values, so it should at least be a couple hundred more than that.

A friend of mine just bought a refurb Macbook for double the price. So yeah, that's too good to be true..

I had little alarmbells going off in my head when I saw that price. I don't even like the MB but at that price i'd buy 2. If its a personal friend to friend sale and you can verify its not hot then go for it. If its ebay watch your back like a hawk. As others have said, if it looks too good to be true, it usually is.

you're all right guys
it's was tooooooooooo good to be true.
this was one of the usual craigslist scams, the owner wanted me to send him the money somewhere in the UK!
I should better save some money and get a new one.
But what i wanted to know, was:
Are Apple computers as good as people say they are?
All over the net i read about macbooks that do not boot, Apple doesn't cover anything unless you get an Apple Care Plan, etc etc.
I dont really wanna spend a LOT and get nothing good. -
Example: I had a power related issue with my MBP which I couldn't reproduce at the Apple Store. However, the guru their still offered to run a series of tests over night to make sure. For free, might I add, but that's covered in the warranty I guess.
-
. As for MacBooks that don't boot...I'm sure its true, but its definitely not widespread. There's always going to be defects, so those are them. And if you happen to have that issue, that's what customer support is for, they'll fix the problem for you!
And its not true at all about AppleCare. AppleCare does not add any more warranty service or such, it extends the standard one-year warranty two more years and gives you unlimited phone support. So anything AppleCare covers, so does the standard one-year warranty. It is a bit limiting, in terms of no Accidental Damage warranty and such, but other than that Apple does a great job! -
Thank you, for the replies
