Hi,
Just wondering if any can help with this issue I have when running XP/Vista/7 under bootcamp. Looking on the net beforehand, I've found things about the 'red light'.... I know what that is, so no replies about that....
My problem... Why doesn't the output work under Windows? When plugging speakers/headphones in I get nothing through them and the sound continues to come out of the internal speakers; which I also had to patch as the sound level was so low I nearly took the macbook back due to Apple not giving a damm that I'd just spent £900. But anyhow, I can live with that..... and the dodgy trackpad driver..... and the backlight keyboard that won't be turned off...... but not that the output doesn't work under Windows.
I haven't tried using a digital out; mainly since I don't have an amplifier that has a suitable input.
Any help on getting the output to work would be good. If not, I'll go to the Apple store at the weekend and get them to sort it, or demand that someone does.
Thanks.

The issue with the sound is from the drivers. Make sure you get the latest from Realtek.

The macbook pro 13" doesn't use realtek drivers, it uses cirrus logic. I tried realtek ones as suggested by others, but they installed and I got no sound anywhere, so went back to the cirrus ones.

Bootcamp's Windows drivers have always been crapola, that includes trackpad drivers.
