Found one at the pawn shop yesterday. It was a late 2013 Macbook Pro, 13-inch screen, 2560 x 1600 display, Iris graphics, Intel Core i5 4th gen processor, 128 GB SSD, 4 GB DDR3 RAM.

    All for $350.

I asked the guy if it was stolen. He said no they run the serial number through a database, and the local police also check their merchandise for any reports of it having been stolen.

Would you have bought it? It was in pristine condition.

At $350 it's a very good deal... It's worth easily twice that much even for the base model with 4GB and 128GB SSD.

I'd say so as well. But do be careful and see if you can get the serial from the seller to check it yourself. Last thing you want to do is blow money on hot merch.

If they don't want to give the serial, I'd run away from it.

If it all checks out legit, that's a steal. I'd jump on it
