So its been one day now since I've got my MBP. And I've been really pleased with this system. I've been able to do everything that I did on my Clevo here. Bootcamp and games run really well with good temps. Max load temps of 75. Idle of 55. I got my torrents working and just today i got Verizon Fios 20MB DL/Up setup and it is fast as hell. The only real quirk I guess is the lack of HDMI, which is what i used on my Clevo to connect to my 42" Having to buy a DVI to Mini HDMI to HDMI is annoying. VMWare fusion is really nice, running applications in unity, using GOM player in windows to play some of the movies over here in Mac OS X. Speakers and screen are amazing. The Clevo's are known for having the CRAPPIEST speakers a laptop can have, its highest speaker setting is the MBP at half, and the bass and treble sucked to. These speakers are just amazing. And the LED screen is really crisp and the colors pop out. Keyboard was very easy to get used to, since I had a white C2D Macbook. I find the keyboard a bit more smoother I i guess than the White Macbook keyboard which i Like very much. Overall I am very pleased with this laptop.

I'm glad you are enjoying your purchase. Changes can be hard and I don't wish regret on anyone.
OMG, they have Verizon in JUPITER already??? Austin Sux!!! -
cool!!!im glad your really enjoying your laptop!!! This is the classy effect it had on me when i first got it. You know how many eyes get turned when i open my laptop and run either vista or osx? The laptop is beautiful with both. The black shade of the windows side bar blends perfectly with the black bezel. btw, what windows are you using? And what are your temps? Try to use hardware monitor to monitor these. The latest hardware monitor supports mac. Btw, i'm surfing on the net on os x and cpu is 41c and gpu 38c and all fans at stock.

why not just get a mini-DP to HDMI adapter? the only thing that stinks for HDMI on the MBP is that Apple didn't wire it up for audio... so you can get a mini-DP to HDMI adapter (not from Apple) and get video fine, but you have to hook up sound output otherwise... or use a multitude of adapters on top of each other that have an extra audio input on them...
hopefully some day someone will make a mini-DP to HDMI adapter that has an audio hook up in line -
Last i checked they didnt have a mini dp to hdmi adapter. Temp on osx when not really doing anything strenuous is somewhere in the mid 40s, same with my gpu.

Like the others have said, I'm glad to read that you love your MBP. It truly is a very good notebook.
Congrats on your purchase once again.

Spaces is a really nice feature that I never really used on my white macbook but am using alot now.

Congrats MKang!
For the HDMI issue, you could get a Mini-Displayport > HDMI cable from Monoprice, as a previous poster has already mentioned.
Although it is HDMI, you will need a an external sound cable, because the Mini Displayport in the MB's and MBP's don't support sound.

Hmm I guess I will be returning these cables to apple and save my self $40

Their cables are a whole lot cheaper, and eBay has the same cables as Apple but they're half the price.
