Tomorrow my new, and first, Macbook Pro 15 w/core i7 will be arriving. I have already started going through the Macbook Pro/OSX tutorials on Apple's website and I have picked an anti-virus solution (iAntiVirus). However, I don't know much about different tools or programs that could make my OSX experience better. I have been hearing about tools that make expose better or that add to the overall OSX experience.
Can you please recommend a set of programs, utilities or otherwise that I should install on my new Macbook Pro? Lastly, are there any cases or covers that I should use on my Macbook Pro?
Thanks!

I'd start off with using the Mac OS X software first before using/buying any other programs to add to it.This will ensure you get a good idea of what it can do for you.
What do you want to do with your mac?
This list is usally great for people and I'm sure you'll find a few helpful programs there http://www.usingmac.com/2008/11/12/100-free-applications -
