Just double checking- if i upgrade to 4 GB of ram on my macbook pro, and i do it myself, it doesn't void the warranty, right?

Yeah, I upgraded my RAM myself.

One of the small screws was f**ked up though, so be extra careful unscrewing them! :D
I had to drill the head so I can open the little RAM enclosure. That is bye-bye warranty for me, I suppose...

just make sure you actually have the right size screw driver and you won't strip the screw heads, it is worth the $1 or whatever to go pick one up anyway.

My screw was almost stripped right from the get-go. I shoved the screwdriver in, and I stripped it totally. Guess the screw was lame quality..

    I didn't even force it..

it really just important to use the proper size screwdriver, the screws are failry delicate and are made to work the the exact size screwdriver head.

enjoy the 4GB masterchef, I know that I definitely do.

No, Apple does not void your warranty for changing the RAM on the MacBook or MacBook Pro :).
