Is the top case (palmrest) of the 15.4" Macbook Pro Core Duo not compatible with the Core 2 Duo top case? Or can they be used interchangeably?
-
-
Check iFixit, they sell both. If it's the same part number, they can be used interchangeably. I believe I remember they are different though.
-
They're different part numbers, but part number change could be for something trivial. Anybody know?
-
I'd help you since I have both Core Duo Macbook Pro and Core 2 Duo Macbook Pro...
But my dad smashed my Core Duo Macbook Pro into pieces and bent my keyboard in half... -
!?!
Is your dad Gallagher or does he have anger problems? -
Yeah.. kinda... he broke my speakers, my mouse, my BRANDNEW apple wireless keyboard... and beat me half to dead... cause i was playing computer game at 4 in the morning and wouldnt go to sleep.. lol he's crazy...
I drove to apple store the next day and bought a Core 2 Duo Macbook Pro with his credit card
-
What he have to say about that?
-
crazy world we live in. I don't know the answer definitively but you might want to try calling a "authorized" apple repair center or googling the mbp service manual?
-
Yeah, I'm quite as curious as Stunner is. What did he say about that?
-
I told him that was the price it costs to get it fixed
he felt pretty bad afterward so he didn't really say anything
my parents are asian... and they are pretty extreme sometimes.. -
iFixit support said not compatible... **** because this guy has a ton of them
