Hi guys, my Macbook Pro has crashed four times past month or so and I was wondering if anyone out there can help me diagnose the problem.

    Some background info:
    Mac OS X version 10.4.11
My Macbook Pro is the 2.2 GHz, 15" Santa Rosa version that was released a few months ago.
I bought this computer in August of 2007
    Everything is stock

I have run rember to determine if it's bad memory that is causing the problem however rember hasn't found anything wrong.

I have also used disk utility to repair all my permissions and yet my computer still crashes.

If you guys need my panic log then I will post it later. I don't want this post to be too long.

A panic log would be useful. Chances are there might be a dodgy driver/app messing up something in your MBP.

Didn't want to overload my original post with text, thereby having a reader ignore the entire post.

Panic log doesn't say much. What have you connected to your Mac via USB? Have you tried resetting the PRAM as suggested before? Also try running some memory tests. With such a short panic log, chances are it's a problem with your RAM or logic board.

My computer just crashed again earlier today. When the computer does crash, I don't have anything connected to it via USB. I have already done a memory test using rember, allocating all memory for testing and instructing Rember to perform 1 loop. Unless I have done something wrong with the Rember test, I don't think it's an issue with bad RAM.

After my computer crashed again today, I reset the PRAM for the first time. How will I know this will do the trick? If you notice my crash logs, there is no pattern to when my computer will crash. It could crash tomorrow or it could crash a month from now. Is the solution to just wait and see if resetting the PRAM will do the trick?

If you keep getting crash logs like that, then chances are something is quite wrong with your Mac, and you can probably bring it to an Apple shop to have them take a look.
But, if the next time you crash the log specified the app/driver causing the crash, then the PRAM resetting probably fixed this issue, and there's probably something else wrong. If that happens, post on this forum again :p
