Hi guys. I have a Macbook Pro (17" Penryn model just before the unibody one) and it's been working great so far until recently...

Lately it's been randomly going into sleep mode and waking up just as randomly as if nothing happened. Someone told me its a RAM issue, but i'm sure it cant be that since that will usually shut the mac down instead of putting it on standby.

Has anyone experienced the same thing before or know what could be causing it? Thanks!

Thanks Bog. I looked at that same discussion earlier and it's inconclusive. I also came across this site someone made and has LOADS of other people in the same boat as me.

I thought it was just a little thing that could easily be fixed, but this seems a lot bigger than I expected... I might have to do a bit of reading before I turn up at the apple store and interrogate a Genius...
